81 Fore Street

The former HSBC bank on Fore Street is another prominent historic building brought back into use by Redruth Revival. Following the bank’s closure in 2017, the building stood vacant in a key town centre location. With support from Cornwall Council and funding through the High Street Heritage Action Zone (HSHAZ) programme, the property was secured as part of Redruth’s wider heritage-led regeneration.

Today, the building provides a creative base for artist studios, and the ground floor has been home to Mining Exchange Studios CIC, showcasing and supporting local artistic talent.

By repurposing this landmark site, Redruth Revival has ensured the building once again contributes to the vitality of the town centre while protecting an important piece of Redruth’s architectural heritage.
