Thank you, Judy Davidson MBE

Redruth Revival CIC would like to extend a huge thank you to Judy Davidson MBE, who is stepping down as Chair after more than a decade of leadership, while continuing to support the organisation as a Director.

A former Mayor of Redruth, town councillor, business owner, and long-serving Jobcentre professional, Judy founded Redruth Revival in 2014 by bringing together a group of committed local business people to create a Community Interest Company dedicated to the regeneration of Redruth town centre.

Inspired by the development of the Old Brewery site into Kresen Kernow, Judy's vision was to create a thriving 21st-century town centre that celebrated Redruth’s unique heritage while attracting investment, supporting local enterprise, and strengthening community pride. Under her leadership, Redruth Revival has delivered a range of regeneration projects, including the transformation of the Buttermarket into Cornwall’s first food hall and cultural courtyard.

Incoming Chair Ross Williams MBE said:

“Judy brought us together as a small group of activists to set up Redruth Revival more than 15 years ago, and ever since then, she has been our chair and a driving force in our development and success. She’s now stepping down from that role, and as the Incoming Chair, I want to say how much we’ve all admired her integrity and her commitment to Redruth - we’re delighted that she’s staying on as a Director.”

As a volunteer-led Community Interest Company, Redruth Revival has always relied on the dedication of people willing to give their time, expertise, and energy to the town. Judy’s leadership has been central to that journey, helping to secure investment, restore historic buildings, and create opportunities that continue to benefit Redruth today.

Thank you, Judy, for your vision, leadership, and unwavering belief in Redruth.
