Redruth Local Hero Awards

We had a fantastic evening at the Specsavers Local Hero Awards, organised by Discover Redruth, celebrating the incredible people who make our town such a special place.

We were proud to sponsor the Young Hero of the Year Award, recognising the inspiring young people who are already making a real difference in our community. Congratulations to all three nominees, Caitlyn, Florence and Jimmy, whose kindness, dedication and commitment to others are truly inspiring. A special congratulations to this year's winner, Florence Burns, for her outstanding work with the Redruth Youth Council, her fundraising efforts and raising awareness of epilepsy. Young people are the future of Redruth, and it's wonderful to celebrate those already making such a positive impact.

We were also delighted to see our exceptional volunteers, Martyn and Richard Bryant, receive the Volunteer of the Year Award following our co-nomination. Their generosity, commitment and tireless support have been invaluable to both the Buttermarket and wider Redruth Revival Projects, as well as many other projects across the town. They lead by example, inspiring others through their dedication, community spirit and genuine care for Redruth.
